Ian and fellow congregants in this four session class.  The class focuses on helping members who are interested in preaching a sermon or learning more about how sermons are created.  It is designed to help people understand better what it is we do when we speak from the pulpit of our congregation, build some beginning skills in choosing topics and crafting sermons, and understand who we are speaking to and why.

Share the Plate: The UUCOD Gloria Kapp Scholarship 

We will honor Gloria Kapp by renaming the Safe Schools Desert Cities Scholarship that we created last year.  It will become the UUCOD Gloria Kapp Scholarship.

If we raise $500, then donors will match that to fully fund the $1000 scholarship.

Formula on the Fourth

Introduced by the Social Justice Committee in January 2023. Donate formula, which will be given to Galilee Center for distribution to their families with babies.

Why donate formula rather than money? Due to shortages, stores have been setting tight limits on the number of cans per purchase. Our donations help Galilee Center hand out more formula each month to families with babies who are unable to buy it on their own.
