Find out how you can participate in one of our most loved gift drives of the year! Each year the Migrant Education Program of the Coachella Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) holds a Christmas Party for their students and families. This year's party is on December 14. At the party, each student receives a gift […]
On the Second Sunday of the month we collect a sock donation for the clients of Well in the Desert. The Well serves the population of the Coachella Valley in poverty prevention, intervention and advocacy.
Worship Leader: Rev. Ian W. Riddell
Worship Associate: Julia Alberg-Burbank. It's been more than 80 years since Superman appeared in his first comic book. Are super-heroes just wish fulfillment for adolescents or might they have something to say to us in our quest for diversity and justice?
An Installation Service is an opportunity for a congregation and its settled minister to formally acknowledge and celebrate the new beginning in their shared ministry and to ponder together a shared vision of ministry. The service involves a ritual of installation, a wonderful sermon from a colleague and mentor of Rev. Ian’s, words and music from our congregation and from some of the ministers in our region, and even the exchange of some gifts in honor of the new shared ministry. And it's a chance for a party, too! Join us for this wonderful service and a fabulous reception afterwards.
Join Gustavo Wong at the Labyrinth for Tai Chi classes. Beginning in June classes will meet in the Community Room.
Members, feel free to show up in person or online during the Voices of the Congregation portion of the meeting to ask your questions or tell us your thoughts!
Interested in joining other UUCOD members in a friendly game or two of scrabble? ALL ARE WELCOME-FROM NOVICE TO EXPERT! We will meet the first and third Thursday of the month at 11:00am. Please contact Carol Lavoie for more information.
Our Missing Hearts is an old story made new, of the ways supposedly civilized communities can pretend to ignore the most searing injustice. It’s a story about the power—and limitations—of art to create change, the lessons and legacies we pass on to our children, and how any of us can survive a broken world with […]
Holly Anderson is convinced she can create Christmas movie magic in Atlanta in August. A Bear, a scotch-drinking nun, a case of salmonella, a cranky host and a Scrooge of a boss may say otherwise! Joy isn't where you find it but where you create it. Click through for show details and to purchase tickets.
