Prepping for Widowhood is a delightful and touching story of four ladies, best friends from college days, who often refer to themselves as the Four Seasons. They are navigating the changes in their lives as they enter their seventies. With each other and with one of their daughters, they examine their past, present, and future with wit, satire, and caring. They have shared much life along the way and now, in their winter months, are determined to make the most of their friendship and the possibilities that remain. Ultimately they arrive at the truth that applies to them all.
Introduced by the Social Justice Committee in January 2023. Donate formula, which will be given to Galilee Center for distribution to their families with babies.
Why donate formula rather than money? Due to shortages, stores have been setting tight limits on the number of cans per purchase. Our donations help Galilee Center hand out more formula each month to families with babies who are unable to buy it on their own.
Click through to see images of the only powdered formulas they will accept....

Our Pacific Southwest area has been blessed with our own camp and retreat center in the San Bernadino National Forest. Since 1961 the camp has been a place for UUs (and others) to find retreat, renewal, and restoration among the trees. And to connect with and learn with other UUs. Join the Peet family today as we reflect on what camp has meant to them and what exploring our UU connections in the forest might mean for all of us.
