Join the Social Justice Committee for UUCOD’s Environmental Film Fest. This five film series culminates in April for Earth Day. These films share a special emphasis on the climate changes happening in our Coachella Valley and beyond.
Our on-going first Wednesday crafting time now includes a mix of skill sets including laughter, camaraderie & a break from routine. Mark your calendar to join us the first Wednesday of each month as we morph into broader directions beyond just painting rocks (which continues). Exploring Creativity is energizing. Bring your project, lunch & beverage & drop in between 11:30 - 2:00 to participate. No host; no RSVP needed; set-up/clean-up is shared; just roll on over & see what is born.

Sadie Gault is eighteen and living with her parents in the Kraków Ghetto during World War II. One day Sadie looks up through a grate and sees a girl about her own age buying flowers. Ella Stepanek is an affluent Polish girl living a life of relative ease with her stepmother, who has developed close alliances with the occupying Germans. While on an errand in the market, she catches a glimpse of something moving beneath a grate in the street. Upon closer inspection, she realizes it’s a girl hiding. Ella begins to aid Sadie and the two become close, but as the dangers of the war worsen, their lives are set on a collision course that will test them in the face of overwhelming odds.
