What does it mean for us to have love or lovingkindness for people we don’t know—or don’t care for—or who don’t see us as worthy of love in return? How do we practice love in the face of cruelty and hate?
We’re having our first UUCOD bake-off on January 19! Twenty-eight generous and talented bakers are showcasing a variety of homemade, savory and sweet, baked goods, with some options for those with dietary restrictions. Get ready to enjoy some tasty homemade baked goods. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted.
We are also hosting a raffle for the bake-off and you can buy tickets now! You could win Trish Ewoldsen’s Lime White Chocolate Cheesecake, a dozen of Reuben Gallardo’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, or a dozen of Daljit Singh’s Punjabi Naan in Cauliflower, Potato, Regular, and Spinach flavors (vegetarian).
You can buy tickets on January 12 after service when Velma Wagner will be selling tickets in person. Raffle tickets will also be sold in person during the first half of the bake-off, and you may buy your raffle tickets online now through January 18 with credit or debit card at our bake-off raffle ticket sales site here: https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/2025-bake-off-entering-baker-ticket. Tickets purchased online will be tracked and included in the drawing, which will be held at noon during the bake-off. Winners need not be present, but those who are will receive their prizes then
