Worship Leader: Lauren Nile
Worship Associate: Bryna Blum.
As human beings, we are called to live lives of self-awareness, wisdom, and compassion - lives of love. In her talk, Lauren will share her thoughts about the nature of a path to that end - specific behavioral steps that help us evolve toward our call to our higher selves.

Worship Associate: Julia Alberg-Burbank. It's been more than 80 years since Superman appeared in his first comic book. Are super-heroes just wish fulfillment for adolescents or might they have something to say to us in our quest for diversity and justice?
An Installation Service is an opportunity for a congregation and its settled minister to formally acknowledge and celebrate the new beginning in their shared ministry and to ponder together a shared vision of ministry. The service involves a ritual of installation, a wonderful sermon from a colleague and mentor of Rev. Ian’s, words and music from our congregation and from some of the ministers in our region, and even the exchange of some gifts in honor of the new shared ministry. And it's a chance for a party, too! Join us for this wonderful service and a fabulous reception afterwards.
Members, feel free to show up in person or online during the Voices of the Congregation portion of the meeting to ask your questions or tell us your thoughts!
Interested in joining other UUCOD members in a friendly game or two of scrabble? ALL ARE WELCOME-FROM NOVICE TO EXPERT! We will meet the first and third Thursday of the month at 11:00am. Please contact Carol Lavoie for more information.
Our Missing Hearts is an old story made new, of the ways supposedly civilized communities can pretend to ignore the most searing injustice. It’s a story about the power—and limitations—of art to create change, the lessons and legacies we pass on to our children, and how any of us can survive a broken world with […]

Worship Associate: Denise Janssen Eager. As we prepare ourselves for gathering around a table in thanks, what is in our minds and hearts. Who do we carry with us as we feast and offer gratitude?
Introduced by the Social Justice Committee in January 2023. Donate formula, which will be given to Galilee Center for distribution to their families with babies.
Why donate formula rather than money? Due to shortages, stores have been setting tight limits on the number of cans per purchase. Our donations help Galilee Center hand out more formula each month to families with babies who are unable to buy it on their own.
Click through to see images of the only powdered formulas they will accept....

Oliver Burkeman wrote, “The core challenge of managing our limited time isn’t about how to get everything done—that’s never going to happen—but how to decide most wisely what not to do, and how to feel at peace about not doing it.” Join us as we explore the choice to find rest and restoration in the face of the world’s demands and the call of the coming season.
