Weed Pulling Party!!

For several years we have been removing the invasive weeds and giving our native wildflowers room to sprout and grow. The change has been dramatic! We have nearly eliminated the Sahara mustard and fountain grass, and have greatly increased the native brown-eyes and other wildflowers upon which our pollinators, butterflies and seed-eaters depend.

With the wonderful fresh rains the invasive Schimus Mediterranean grass will try to blanket areas and choke out the wildflowers. But we won’t let it! Let’s get in there and remove the weeds so that annual wildflowers have room to flourish.

We will start by training you to identify the natives and weeds, so no prior knowledge required.

This event is always fun and is a great time to deepen your connection to the land and to the community.
