Settled Minister Appointment Meeting

Vote to decide the next Settled Minister of UUCOD. Please make sure your Member voice is heard in our shared ministry as we practice “the right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregation.”
The sole item of business can be only whether to approve Rev. Ian W. Riddell as the Settled Minister. Fifty percent of Voting Members (Members who signed the membership book at least 30 days beforehand and who are not designated Inactive) must be present for quorum. Members who vote by absentee ballot or by zoom poll are considered part of the quorum. Ninety percent of Voting Members is required for approval of a resolution to call the Settled Minister. Rev. Riddell’s long biography may be found here and has appeared in past newsletter articles, and his shorter one is on our website here.
If you are away and will not have access to Zoom, you can request an absentee ballot. They must be requested from Administrator Pam Bibo or at 760-321-0694 by May 11 and will be mailed May 15. They must be postmarked or submitted by May 29 to be counted for quorum and/or voting purposes. Election results will be posted on June 5.
