Earth Day Weekend Activities

The Sacred Grounds Committee and the Social Justice Committee invite you to celebrate Earth Day weekend with a special Saturday event and a special Sunday worship service.

Join us on Saturday at the UUCOD Peace Labyrinth as Desert Movement Arts participates in the National Water Dance.  It “is a “movement choir” of dancers and movers across the United States including Puerto Rico, dancing simultaneously with shared movement phrases to create climate awareness and social action. This live streamed event brings dance into the environmental conversation and creates a community of dancers that connect through our website and social media platforms. ”

Desert Movement Arts is performing their own “Lack-of-Water Dance” with musical accompaniment by Marilyn Mazur.  Their choreography explores water issues prominent in the dry desert environment.
