The Cathedral City Senior Center is Our June 14 Share the Plate             

Your generous donations on June 14 will help the Cathedral City Senior Center continue to provide many different classes and activities.  Among them are a Meditation Group, a Food Bank on Mondays, and a Singing for Fun group on Wednesdays.  On some Mondays, there are various agencies present at the Food Bank: Desert Aids Project provides blood pressure readings and blood sugar tests; Vista Cove; Rancho Mirage Memory Care; Dayne Navarro, Insurance Broker, Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES).  Other agencies and activities offered throughout the week include Beginner English, Lottery, Mah Jongg, Party Bridge, Parkinson’s Disease in Motion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Senior Fitness, Line Dancing, Ping Pong Fun, Citizenship Class, Yarn & Friends, Beginner Spanish, Piano – beginner and intermediate, Boots in Squares, Standing Tai Chi (both Beginner and Intermediate), Chair Yoga, Serenity Bereavement, Bingo, Fit Dance Mix, Guitar-Beginner, Basket Weaving, Senior Fitness, Vision y Compromiso Support Group, El Sol Support Group, Qi Gongo, Painting Class, Movie Time and Device Advice.  The Center’s programs are designed with accessible and culturally relevant services to not leave anybody behind.  It partners with other organizations to provide case management and access to public health resources.  Other activities include a service for immigrants who may also need help with other issues.

On Sunday, June 14, please give as generously as you are able to continue funding for the Cathedral City Senior Center.  If donating by check, make it out to UUCOD so our treasurer can divide the plate and make out one group check from our church.  Thank you!
